Laura Dunn
Laura Dunn is a dynamic and versatile professional drummer with over 30 years of experience, known for her precision, power, and deep musical instinct across both live and studio settings. A Southern California–based musician and Los Angeles native, Laura began her musical journey just before junior high, training classically while performing in concert bands, marching bands, and drum lines. She went on to become drum captain at Claremont High School, maintaining 1st chair throughout her upperclassman years. During her late teens, after finally acquiring her first drum set, she expanded into punk, psychobilly and hip-hop cover bands—genres whose influence continues to shape her sound today.
Her growing presence in the music industry led to early recognition, earning her an endorsement with Spaun Drum Company in 2008. She later signed with Paiste Cymbals in 2011 and BOSO Drumsticks in 2012. In 2019, she became an endorsed artist with Big Fat Snare Drum, further solidifying her reputation among top-tier percussion brands.
Over the past decade, Laura has been a core member of the Bridge Music Collective at The Bridge Church, performing regularly with Bridge Youth on Wednesdays and in Sunday worship rotations. Her performances reach a wide audience through weekly live streams, extending her influence beyond the stage.
Equally passionate about education, Laura has dedicated much of her career to mentoring the next generation of musicians. She has taught Rhythm and Music Theory at a local charter school. She continues to offer private instruction to students of all levels—from beginners to professionals—covering everything from drumline preparation for award-winning high school programs to advanced performance techniques, even teaching high-profile students including Dr. Dre’s daughter. Her deep knowledge of reading, theory, and rudiments makes her a highly effective and respected instructor.
As a freelance drummer, Laura has performed at iconic venues such as the House of Blues Los Angeles and was selected as a judge for Guitar Center Drum-Off. She has also appeared in numerous music videos and music-based reality shows, further expanding her reach and visibility in the industry.
Most recently, Laura teamed up with the innovative and fast-rising artist Jordan Ramble, whose genre-blending sound and viral presence have garnered widespread attention. In early 2026, they performed their album Hell Is Terrified live to an intimate, sold-out crowd at Stage Red, delivering an electrifying and immersive experience.
“Their newly formed live act, the Hell Is Terrified band, brings Jordan Ramble’s viral music to life in a powerful full-band format. The group features Tyson Cortez on bass, and Laura Dunn behind the kit, anchoring the band with her signature energy and precision.”
At the heart of Laura’s career is a mission to inspire others and lead them to experience God through music. Whether performing on stage, mentoring, or teaching one-on-one, she continues to make a lasting impact while earning deep respect within the music community.
